Yann Tiersen – On tour in North America in May

Artist, composer, performer, Yann Tiersen will be on tour in the US in May, following the release of his last album, ALL !

Out on February 15th, ALL is the first album to be recorded at Tiersen’s new studio, venue and community center, The Eskal.
The Eskal was built in an abandoned discotheque on Ushant, a small island positioned in the Celtic Sea between Brittany and Cornwall, Tiersen’s home for the past 15 years.

ALL incorporates recordings from locations such as Brittany, Devon’s redwood forest and Berlin’s decommissioned Tempelhof airport. The album examines Tiersen’s renewed interest and deeper connection to his own place within nature. Predominately sung in the Breton language, the album features several guest vocalists: Anna von Hausswolff, who released Dead Magic last year is the guest vocalist on “Koad” while Ólavur Jákupsson collaborates on “Erc’h” and Breton singer-songwriters Denez Prigent (“Gwennilied”), Emilie Tiersen and Gaëlle Kerrien all feature on the album.
