New Year, Nouvelle Vague
After celebrating their 20 years in music and launching a new album, Nouvelle Vague will be continuing their world tour in 2025. To kick off their U.S. visit, they will be stopping by The Fonda Theater on February 11 – just in time for Valentine’s Week. Nouvelle Vague will be playing their classic mix of melancholic post-punk and bossa nova with their French reinterpretation approach. Their new album “Should I Stay Or Should I Go” is inspired by vocalist Alonya’s rendition of The Clash’s song; the lead single by the same name also has reggae and ska elements, and draws inspiration from La Lupe’s cover of “Fever”. You may want to check out their versions of Tears For Fears’ “Shout” featuring Bijou and Marine Quéméré, and Étienne Daho’s “Bleu Comme Toi”.
