Fete de la Musique 6/21 in Central Park (FREE)

La Fête de la Musique is an international event that was created in France in the 1980’s, to celebrate music with free concerts in parks, cafes and on street corners. This festival has since spread to hundreds of cities around the world. Past featured artists at Fete de la Musique at Central Park SummerStage include: IAM, -M-, and Catherine Ringer, among others.

CharlElie Couture has recorded 23 albums and performed 1,500 concerts worldwide. He has also published 15 books of thoughts, drawings, and photos.

Yael Naim rose to fame in 2008 in the US after her hit single “New Soul” was used by Apple in an advertising campaign and peaked at No. 7 on the Hot 100.

General Elektriks is the brainchild of French vintage keyboard player/ composer/ singer/ producer Hervé Salters, who blends keyboard funk, oldschool pop and hip hop beats in his home studio.

La Femme, winner of the French Music Award for Best New Artist, is a millefeuille of psychedelia, rockabilly, electro and punk-infused surf.

The largest French music festival in the US, France Rocks Summerfest presents 30 cutting-edge Parisian artists in 25 of NYC’s coolest parks and venues.
