Biography

Maxence Cyrin is a French pianist and composer living in Paris. After an extensive conservatory education for piano, he became interested in electronic music and recorded numerous songs during the 90s. In the album entitled Modern Rhapsodies released in 2005 featured solo arrangements for songs by Massive Attack, Depeche Mode, and Moby. The album Novö Piano was released in 2009, where he transposed songs by Daft Punk, Nirvana, and the Pixies for piano. The music video for “Where Is My Mind” has received over 5 million views on Youtube. In 2012, he released The Fantasist, an imaginary movie soundtrack with piano, strings and synthesizers. In 2014 he signed with classical label Evidence Classics. In January of 2015 he released a new opus entitled Nocturnes, featuring ten delicate and poetic compositions for solo piano as an invitation to travel deep into the night. Maxence Cyrin has performed in many venues, classical music festivals, and clubs. He has frequently worked with prestigious brands in fashion such as Lanvin, Chanel, Hermès, and Valentino. In 2015, Cyrin’s rendition of the Pixies “Where Is My Mind” was featured in several movie soundtracks, and most recently was featured on the hit TV shows “The Leftovers” and “Mr. Robot.” His new album Novö Piano II, features covers of Björk, Soundgarden, & more.
