Biography
French singer and songwriter Keren Meloul goes by the name Rose, inspired by The Rose — the 1979 film modeled after the life of Janis Joplin. Rose’s self-titled debut album, released in 2006 on EMI, featured the singles “La Liste” and “Ciao Bella” and reached the Top Five of the French albums chart.
Les Souvenirs Sous Ma Frange, a more experimental and less accessible set recorded with Jerome Plasseraud and Thibaut Barbillon, followed in 2009. Rose then switched to the Columbia label and released her third album, Et Puis Juin, in 2013. Its bouncy, light-hearted title song was issued as the first single.
