Biography

Inna De Yard is a musical project gathering the finest Jamaican reggae artists. They are the result of a monumental meeting of two generations of Jamaican musicians and singers. Legends from the golden era of roots reggae collaborate and rekindle the original essence of Jamrock with same of the island’s youngest spirits.

Inna De Yard gathers together four iconic singers, whose fate is quite different (Ken Boothe, Cedric Myton, Winston McAnuff & Kiddus I) ; it also includes The Viceroys – a trio of musicians from the 70’s – and the younger generation (Var, Jah9, Derajah). All musicians are eager to share the musical traditions of their homecountry. In addition, Inna De Yard regularly invites guests like Horace Andy or Judy Mowatt (one of Bob Marley’s singer) to jam sessions.

They had an unexpected success for the band’s debut album, The Sould of Jamaica out on 2017 and a sold-out tour – including gigs that became mythical, such as the show at Philharmonie de Paris and Le Trianon.

The eponymous album Inna de Yard will be release on April 12th. In addition, the documentary Inna de Yard directed by Peter Webber will premiere at the International Cannes Film Festival, recounting the adventures of the reggae men.
