Biography

Dadju was born Dadju Djuna Nsungula on May 2, 1991 in Bobigny (Seine-Saint-Denis). Raised in an environment with a strong musical sensibility – his father is a former musician of Papa Wemba – Dadju naturally follows Maïtre Gims in the studio and is also hit by the music virus. Signed to the Wati B label, Dadju formed the duo The Shin Sekaï with rapper Abou Tall in 2012. Despite the success of the group, the two artists mark a break in 2016 after the release of the album Indéfini. Dadju can then let the quality of his voice, naturally made for the smoothness of French R&B, shine through. Once again the success is at the rendezvous in 2017 with the album Gentleman 2.0 which contains the hits “Queen”, “Bob Marley” and “Jealous”, a record completed by its live version a few months later. Building on these successive successes, the rapper made his comeback in 2019 with Poison, his second studio album, ushered in by the track “Complicated”.
