Apolline’s New York gigs – October 2013

Formed in late 2011, Apolline is a five musicians band, all from the rock scene. Just after their first meeting, the power and the originality of Apolline’s music was born. It is impossible to not be touched by the voice of Arthur Navellou, influenced by singers such as Bertrand Cantat (Noir Désir) and Jim Morrison (The Doors). The lyrics invite us to constantly rediscover ourself, sometimes in English and French, all driven by catchy and captivating melodies.

Apolline recalls the efficiency of current anglo-saxon rock (Muse, Foo Fighters), but remains committed to a strong 70’s foundation (Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd). The heavy guitar riffs give way to more pop environments, but also more progressive ones (Incubus, Coldplay, Archive).

In april 2012, the first EP entitled « l’Accidentelle », recorded and mixed by Fred Norguet (Lofofora, Ez3kiel…) in the studio Kalamo’Prod was released. In June 2012, Apolline signs under the label M&O Music, distribution Anticraft/MVS for their first album « No Longer Rain », scheduled for release in march 2013.

In October 2013, the band will perform for the first time in New York City.
