FREE SHOW – The Pirouettes and Caspian Pool @ DROM – 11/16
The Pirouettes and CASPIAN POOL will be performing at DROM ,Thursday, November 16th at 9:30PM!!!!!
Within barely four years, The Pirouettes have come to be one of France’s most unmissable pop bands. Amidst an ever-expanding French scene, Leo Bear Creek, (who also plays the drums in the indie rock band Coming Soon) and his sweetheart Vickie Cherie (who provides The Pirouettes with artwork) are Eli & Jacno’s modern-day lookalikes.
Within the soundscape of Etienne Daho, the young couple have been elevating the synth-pop tradition, already garnering a few hits, such as Dernier métro and Marcia Baila.
During an expected journey by the Caspian Sea in Azerbaijan, Low Bird and Jimmy Q decided to dive into Caspian Pool. Strongly influenced by former GDR synths and italo disco (Space, Ganymed), these two frenchies from Annecy rock an athletic and humid electro.
For their first EP “HOT”, they collaborated with Oliver Wright (Hot Chip, The 2 Bears) and Mazen Murad (Bjork, Blur …).
