Biography

Husbands are a three piece pop band from Marseille, France.

Husbands was spontaneously created by its three members-Mathieu Hocine (Kid Francescoli), Simon Henner (French 79, Nasser) and Mathieu Poulain (Oh! Tiger Mountain)- as they were working together on various projects from their collective Microphone Recordings in Simon’s studio. They started playing and recording together with no other goal than having as much fun as they could trying to squeeze in everything that didn’t fit in their other artistic endeavors. The result is a joyous, generous, addictive melting pot of everything pop, from indie to dance to reggae and more…After their first self-released EP in 2013, two hit videos by  Cauboyz (“Dream” & “You, Me, Cellphones”), they were picked by world-famous dj-producer Laurent Garnier to be the first release on his brand new label Sounds Like Yeah! Husbands’ second EP “Let Me Down (Don’t)” came out in December 2014 featuring remixes by Ghost of Christmas and from the godfather of french house himself, and another playful video by Cauboyz.
